Denali West Buttress

I just completed my first official In The Company of Guides Denali trip. This custom private was done with three guides and two clients. We choose this ratio in order to make this trip as easy as possible for the two climbers. Each day I travelled with Ken and Carlos at a normal pace, while Alex and Dusty (my two assistants) hurried ahead so camp was set up and water on the stove when we rolled in.

I'm Certified

I Spent much of the summer and early fall rock climbing and training for my AMGA rock guide exam.  The hard worked payed off, and on Nov. 1 I passed the exam and I am now a certified rock guide.  This was the most fun I have ever had studying for an exam!!
